Benefit Group Accrual Profile Entry
Use this pop-up to set up and maintain an accrual profile for an hours category of the selected benefit group.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Hours Category | Accrual category. The drop-down contains the hours categories that have been set up with the Accrual Category box checked. |
| Accrual Hours Code | Hours code that increases an employee's time banks for this category. |
| Accrual Based on Date | In tandem with the step validation date, calculates each employee's months of service. This date functions like the Longevity Based on Date. |
| Minimum Hours Worked | Minimum number of hours that must be worked before accrual time for this category may be earned. |
| Interval Taken | Establishes the interval at which employees may take their accruals; for example, an interval of .25 requires time to be entered in intervals ending only in .25, .50, .75 and .00. |
| Probation Based on Date | Used in combination with the Days on Probation field, restricts employees from using their accrual time. The Based on Date is used to calculate exactly how long employees are restricted. |
| Days on Probation | Used with the Based on Date to restrict employees from using their accrual hours. |
| Payoff Type | For employees whose accruals are paid off according to steps based on their months of service or the amount of accruals. This selection lets you enter the payoff steps instead of giving employees straight pay for the number of hours left in their banks. |
After making your entries, click OK to save them, and repeat this process until all accrual profiles have been entered for the selected benefit group.
